This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") explains the rules for using Dead Simple Email. It applies to the website, API, dashboard, and any email messages or attachments sent, received, or stored through the Service.
You may use the Service only in ways that comply with this AUP, our Terms of Service, and all applicable laws and regulations. If we believe your use violates this policy, we may investigate, restrict, suspend, or terminate access to the Service.
1. Core principle
Dead Simple Email is built for legitimate application messaging, agent workflows, customer support, transactional communication, and other lawful email use cases. It is not a platform for spam, abuse, impersonation, or harmful automation.

- Sending to recipients who did not request or reasonably expect the message
- Ignoring unsubscribe or opt-out requests
- Using misleading subject lines, sender names, or headers
2.2 Phishing, fraud, and impersonation
- Impersonating people, brands, or organizations without authorization
- Collecting credentials, payment information, or personal data through deception
- Running scams, social engineering campaigns, or fraudulent workflows
- Misrepresenting the origin or intent of messages
2.3 Malware and harmful payloads

3. Prohibited platform behavior

4. Compliance expectations
You are responsible for ensuring your use of the Service complies with all applicable laws, including rules related to consent, disclosures, opt-outs, retention, privacy, and cross-border data use.
Depending on your use case, that may include compliance with laws and frameworks such as CAN-SPAM, CASL, GDPR, CCPA, and industry-specific requirements that apply to your business.
5. Agent and automation use
Agentic and automated workflows are allowed, but they must remain accountable and reviewable. You must not use automation to multiply abusive behavior, create deceptive identities at scale, or route harmful content through disposable inboxes.
If your product creates inboxes programmatically for users, agents, or tenants, you remain responsible for the activity that occurs under your account.
6. Enforcement
We may take action at our discretion to protect the Service, recipients, customers, and broader email ecosystem. Enforcement steps may include:
- Blocking or delaying message delivery
- Restricting inbox creation or API usage
- Suspending or terminating accounts
- Removing content or stored data where appropriate
- Cooperating with law enforcement or legal process when required
7. Reporting abuse
If you believe someone is using Dead Simple Email for abuse, phishing, spam, or other harmful conduct, contact us at hello@deadsimple.email with relevant details, message samples, and timestamps if available.
8. Policy updates
We may update this AUP from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with a new effective date. Continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised policy.
