First, at low volume Bavimail is cheaper: 100 inboxes sending 50,000 emails costs $5 on Bavimail and $29 on Dead Simple Email, if you are willing to run ten domains to get there. Where Bavimail Wins
- Raw send volume per dollar. 50,000 emails for $5 and 300,000 for $50 are good numbers. If your agents send a lot and read a little, and you do not need IMAP, run the arithmetic for your own volume before switching.
- Domain-heavy setups. 300 domains on a $50 plan is generous. If your architecture is one domain per customer, Bavimail's shape fits it better than a flat inbox count does.
Where Dead Simple Email Wins
Agents that need to sign up for things. The verification endpoint returns the latest OTP, magic link or confirmation URL from an inbox, which is what lets an agent register for a service without a human reading the email. Bavimail does not advertise this, so you would be parsing MIME yourself.
Agents that read untrusted mail. Every inbound message is scanned and scored for prompt injection before your agent sees it. An agent that acts on email content without that check is executing instructions written by strangers.
